WHAT IS KLIFE?

KLIFE is a non-profit parachurch ministry focused on discipleship for youth. Through a variety of activities (klubs, small group Bible studies, and monthly events), KLIFE kids grow in their faith and have lots of fun in the process. They learn that following Christ and discovering His plan for their life is the most exciting adventure of all and that they can count on friendship and support from leaders and peers who care.

KLIFE works alongside churches and families in the community to teach and encourage kids to be strong in the Lord in spite of all the negative pressures they face as teenagers. KLIFE networks kids from different churches, and those without a church affiliation, to build positive, Godly relationships that can withstand the negative peer pressure so prevalent in today’s youth culture.

The heartbeat of KLIFE lies in the ability to build relationships with kids and bring the content of God’s word to spur on those relationships. Our desire is that kids would choose to participate in one of our small groups led by our staff and volunteer leaders. The purpose of these groups is for kids to gain a greater knowledge of God’s word, build Godly relationships with peers, and have access to a mentoring leader to come alongside them as they navigate those difficult adolescent years. Supporting and surrounding our small group strategy are the more visible components of our ministry: weekly klub meetings, activities, events, and retreats. Weekly meetings consist of songs, games, skits, and talks that contain a lesson with a relevant life application from the Bible.

WHY IS KLIFE IMPORTANT?

ONLY 2 IN 10 CHRISTIANS GRADUATE WALKING WITH JESUS

Research shows that for every ten Christian’s who step foot on a college campus, only two graduate still professing to believe in Jesus. The overwhelming common denominator for the two out of ten is they had someone intentionally investing in them during their teenage years; someone like a KLIFE small group leader. Teenagers are walking onto college campuses unable to defend their faith, but when a young adult shares their life with a teenager, transferring spiritual truths and life experiences, they are far more likely to continue walking with Jesus through college.

MODEL FOR MINISTRY

Our model for ministry looks like an inverted triangle. We start with activities that help "GROW EXCITEMENT". These are activities like Klub nights, Fall Retreat, Barn Dances, and other big events that we will be putting on. Our desire to provide a safe environment through gatherings, full of energy, laughter, and fellowship, where Biblical truth is heard, Godly community is experienced and relational equity with students is built as their excitement for the Gospel grows

Next we create opportunities to "ENGAGE HEARTS". Our Small Groups are the “heartbeat” of our ministry & comprised of same-gendered peers that gather on a weekly basis with a trained leader to study Scripture, encourage spiritual growth, promote accountability within the group and engage hearts to rely on the hope found in Jesus

Lastly we look for ways to "SHARE LIFE" through discipleship. This echos our theme verse of 1 Thessalonians 2:8 and practically looks like a small group leader being a part of a student's day to day life (i.e. coming to their sporting events, taking them out for ice cream, or eating lunch with them at school) Our Small Group leaders are trained to pursue their students not only during small group time, but also seeking out intentional discipleship opportunities to meet students where they are at. This context is often necessary to address the deeper issues students are facing, as well as provide specific gospel centered truth, encouragement and guidance as they share life together
